The 7th International Symposium on Minimal Residual Cancer will focus on the technical advancements in the detection and characterization of DTCs and CTCs, and their present use in cancer staging and real time monitoring of systemic anticancer therapies, as well as the specific biological properties and molecular characteristics of these cells. A particular emphasis will be given on the relationship of these cells to cancer stem cells and the relevance of recent findings for the development and use of new targeted therapies in oncology.
